P&R W

Great day, pity the light was so awful but if it had been better I'd have probably run out of memory cards. My IATs go back to the first Greenham Common but today was probably the highlight. I've never done a departure day before but it won't be my last. One question the valiue of optics in that compound must have been immense, how do you all afford it?

If you're keen enough, you find a way ... sell the car and buy a cheaper one .... take out a second mortgage ... sell your granny ....

BTW ... your thread title - P&R ? .... it's not a Park and Ride ..... it's a Park and View; hence commonly referred to as P&V

For me personally I have to save up for it quite a while to be honest. But, the fun you then have when you can finally buy it is awesome!

A nice story about my Canon 300mm F2.8 Prime is that I almost had enough money saved up to buy it last year, when Canon just launched a new version II of this lens, which was about €2500 more expensive at the time. A month or so later I wanted to purchase the first version, but couldn't find a store in the Netherlands anymore that sold the 'old' version. I called and emailed all the stores I could find for a few weeks. In the end I proceeded to try and get one online using Ebay and finally managed to get one (from the UK actually). It was quite unnerving at the time....the prospect of having to save up the additional €2500, which for me was way out of proportion.
