Geoff, Typhoon 30+68 was operated by TLG-74 at Neuburg. Not sure about the Bolkow but can ask.

It is titled Stars of Memory, don't know what that means, but there we go.

It is apparently the final ever special scheme Bolkow before their retirement. A nose art design also shows a Bo-105 flying off into the sunset over a mountain ridge with a cowboy on a horse.

Whilst we're at it, Scramble show 4 x 81 TFW F-4Cs at the 1967 North Weald show which conflicts with the 1983 book by William R Newby-Grant "International Air Tattoo - The story of Europe's Greatest Airshow" in which the year is given as 1971 and the aircraft as F-4Ds from the 81st.

I'm inclined to go with the latter but would be interested to hear of any other views on this.

Cheers for now, Tom :cuppa:

Many thanks both, much appreciated. Well HFWS badge is a Hawk of some description on a gauntlet so that may explain the raptor's head but as for the colours and other titling?!?
As for North Weald - the 81st didn't get "D"s until 1973 and so they would have been "C"s. Without checking I think a quartet flew by at both the '71 and '72 shows- as for numbers.. Hmm..
