Just after some clarification about entry points for FRIAT members. The following is copied from an e-mail sent out in March
A dedicated FRIAT entry point has often been the subject of discussion at the Forum and this has only been possible at the Blue Entry Point with Gate J working very well for the last 2 years. At the Red, Yellow and Green entry there will be a lane marked Disabled/FRIAT for members to use. In 2016 Gate J was opened 5 minutes earlier than Gate K (external public gate at Blue) which gave members time to get up to the Customer Entry Point before the public gate was opened. The plan is for this to be repeated in 2017.
On the letter received within the FRIAT pack it outlines the blue entry gate but does not mention red, yellow and green. Just seeking confirmation that the other gates will have lanes for disabled/ FRIAT as stated in the e-mail.

Re: FRIAT ENTRY
There was nothing mentioned about FRIAT lanes at the non blue entrances on the 2016 letter but we were told to use the disabled lane on the day (at the Green gate) anyway.
To be honest though I had already queued in a 'normal' lane on the Saturday and got through quicker than some of the FRIAT members that were using the disabled lane did due to the fact they were searching each persons camera bag which slowed things up considerably in their lane.
Wasn't as bad on the Sunday though.

Same old sh*t.............just happening on a different day!!!
Re: FRIAT ENTRY
Thank you for the reply. So probably no benefit then but could be an option depending on the queue size on the day...

Re: FRIAT Entry
Yes just judge it on the day. On the Sunday I think they relaxed the searches a bit so the FRIAT/disabled queue and the normal queues moved at pretty much the same rate (not to say they'll do the same this year though due to the current threat levels).
