RIAT App Heads Up

Hi,

Even though the app has the same homepage and shows pictures of the 2017 show - the aircraft listed under the show days are this years participants.

So looks like the App is slowly being updated for this year.

ive seen some suggestions that the app is slowly being updated, but others have also suggested we are getting a whole new 2018 app.

but the planes do appear to be updated on the old one

The 2017 app will be removed from iTunes and Google Play as soon as the new one is approved by Apple.

The big question is, will they improve the WiFi signal within the showground so that people attending will actually be able to use the app without having to stand right inside one of the Service Stations?

It'd be much quicker and easier just to put the information on a mobile-friendly sub-site of the main RIAT website, instead of messing around with app stores and versions. And no need to download & install.

An app is a far more useful tool for the organisers to use. It has the ability to place notifications on the users phone etc

Thanks, but all I'm getting is endless car, truck and bus simulators! I've tried Air tattoo, RIAT, Royal International Air Tattoo and combinations with the year but no joy.

still nothing for android. RIAT's reponse... "soon"

edit: they have come back to me and said android will be active at some point today and that the apple one is going to be replaced

Underwhelmed.
Map still includes the Breitling Enclosure which has already been confirmed as not being at RIAT this year.
Flying display aircraft don't tie up with the website.
Key timings list just the car park/gates open times.
