Nearest pub?
Nearest pub?
Hello all. I'm meeting friends at P&V on Weds and have promised to take them out for a pint and a bite to eat at the end of the day. Can anyone recommend a nice pub with good food close to the airfield? Many thanks in advance.

The riverside in Lechlade is a nice pub right on the Thames, serves good food and the scenery is cracking.

Like, when the footballs coming home?
I'm sure there will be a few places that wont be showing it...
but dont expect a quiet evening

Ah. Didn't realise that. Can't stand football.
OK, in that case does anyone know where there is an off licence and a chippy...?

Try The Old Spotted Cow in Marston Meysey, nice pub, good food and I don't recall them showing sport but you never know now they are in the semi final

If it's still around then try The Axe & Compass at Kempsford village, last time I had a drink in there was IAT 97.

Thanks for the tips everyone but due to football, we've binned the idea.
