Can anyone tell me how busy East is? I'm heading down from the stand during Red Arrows rehearsal as they kick us out at 1700 here.

Maybe the static Belgian F-16? The Belgians just rehearsed a little bit ago.

I wonder if the two aircraft that just landed at Mildenhall are destined for us.

And the AAC Defender, if it wasn't cancelled before today.

Interesting to note that the Sea King and Wedgetail (both of which are absent from the movement sheet) are yet to officially cancel.

There could be a lot of empty tarmac.

Maybe a bit of wishful thinking, but with the Wedgetail not being cancelled (yet) maybe it could be a surprise arrival. And at a push, tomorrow before the show starts?

There's a Defender just north of Fairford on a Brize squawk, are you sure it's cancelled?

East most certainly is NOT FRIAT-only.
Posting comments on an aviation-related chatroom, are ya? Looks like it an' all...

Thanks skyflash. Was given some rather duff information by an active serviceman no less!

Active servicemen talking out of their arse about matters they know nothing about? Well isn't THAT a first!

I don’t want to be the rumour starter...if they show it would be a VERY nice addition.

Presumably Air Force 1?

Whatever it is, it appears to have entirely bypassed the rest of the spotting community as there's no reports of anything arriving at Mildenhall today!

I think someone is getting Mildenhall confused with Stansted.

Further cancellations, unless I've missed them or they're due very late, are...

German Tornado (TLG-51), should have been two - only one arrived
Royal Navy Sea King ASaC.7

RAF Rivet Joint just airborne from Waddington, should be going up for a mission first.

Award to furthest display ever goes to Solo Turk. With a few German Typhoons and a tornado gutted theres no tiger scheme. Su-27 was meh from east. How about the arrival though? Swiss Hornet was brilliant as was the Finnish. Slovenian PC-9 was neatly flown.

Swiss Hornet stole it today. Did my eyes deceive me or did the Solo Turk go up and then up again straightaway?
