FRIAT Squadron Print

Post by MiG_Eater »

Hi everybody,

One of my favourite mementos from each RIAT in recent years has been the Squadron Print given out to FRIAT members. Any idea why this wasn't included this year - and is one available to buy?

It should've been in the bag your programme came in.

Interesting. It certainly wasn't. Maybe they ran out as I don't think I collected my programme until Sunday!

Indeed, mine was in my goody bag with the programme, copy of Aviation News and the commemorative object.

I would offer you mine but it wasn't rolled up this year and the print is a bit dog-eared, just from carrying from the enclosure back to Kempsford.

Thanks WM. I have written to FRIAT on the off-chance that they have any spare. I expect they had either run out (seems unlikely) or they just forgot to put on in the bag. I certainly didn't receive one.

Not the end of the world, but it's a nice keepsake.

Not gonna lie, it's not the most scintillating one they've ever produced.

Squadron Prints have most of the back issues for sale, so they might be the best bet if you want to buy one. It really isn't spectacular though, there isn't much colour on it this year.

They tried to fob me off with a bag without the print. When I complained they said they didn't have enough for all the Mach 3 attendees and nabbed one from another bag.

A really tacky trick to save a few quid.
