Interesting old stuff up at Waddo?

Post by joshiecookie »

Just been up to the viewer at RAF Waddington and been taken by suprise by an old bi-plane on approach, had a blue topside and white underside, didnt catch it quick enough to grab markings but it taxied up to the flying club area and there appeared to be another one which had already arrived. Also a few minuites later (about 4:10) A small rare little black cessna stopped in. Any ideas guys? Would be great to find out what the vintage stuff really was, looked sopwith to me, or maybe tiger moth?! Thanks guys.

Should be up to 13 a/c in total for it, they'll be operating off the grass strip on the eastern side tomorrow afternoon doing pax flights for those on base I believe. 9 a/c currently in. You should be able to get a decent view from near WAVE tomorrow.
