We are toying with the idea of parking the aircraft on a NW-SE axis rather than NE-SW one as in previous Nightshoots. Any thoughts from our regular supporters?

Without an illustration, no idea what it would mean.

Turn the aircraft 90 to the right (From the pilot's POV)

How about a mix of both?
I felt on the last shoot that the Tucano was just beyond the reach of the floodlights, it was a bit dark down at that end. If all your invites are accepted could they be positioned in the lightest spots...on either axis

Actually I think that would be 90 degrees to the left if you were sitting in the cockpit

Basically Brian it would mean you could shoot the right hand side of the aircraft rather than the left as in previous nightshoots

Gotcha now I thought it was a move to a different location.
As has been suggested by IanOlder, a mix of both would be nice if possible.

Re: Northolt Night Photoshoot V
Good idea but also maybe move the whole lot more to the left (west) up by where the Brazillian was last time?
Whatever you do I'm sure it'll be as good as ever!

That would be great Phil It would be nice to get some different angles than before. Whatever you come up with will be as always first class

Re: Northolt Night Photoshoot V
I agree that a mix of both would be best if this is possible. A few different angles would be great.
Looking forward to another great evening.

What's been invited and what actually arrives on the day is very much down to a lot factors namely operational and mechanical.
As with air shows, to announce what will be there and then it doesn't turn up leads to a lot of people throwing their toys out of the pram.

Almost as bad as nothing being announced and no one turning up

True.
What does seem to be forgotten was before the internet the average airshow goer knew very little about what was coming to an airshow. A source of information was the magazine preview, that was it.
I feel these nightshoots are a great opportunity to practice a little used skill, that of night photography. I feel grateful to the guys organising these events. I also know that Phil has been lucky with some gem attendees at both the June Photocall (Turkish AF Citation) and recent nightshoot with the Brazilian.
My suggestion is come along for the photography and be surprised about the attendee's. I know people come along way to attend and would like to have a confirmed "gem", but this hobby is about risk. The weather is a risk, attendee's are a risk. Sometimes you just have to make the decision and face the risk. No risk, no reward.

Hi
I didn't mean to start an argument. All I was asking was a rough idea as to what may be expected.

There hasn't been a good argument in this thread yet, we need one.
There is a wish list but it's up to Phil to make it public and as I said, what is on it doesn't necessarily mean it's going to turn up but if they all turn up there will be a big grin factor involved.
Wer'e at least guaranteed a helicopter or two and 125

I'm sure if you ask nicely, Phil will send you the e-mail regarding the Nightshoot, including aforementioned wishlist.
