This was my moment of the season for me, up on Lancing Hill Sunday at the Shoreham Airshow. I went to the show on the Saturday and watched the Vulcan and i saw all the top sides people on the hill were being treated to. Then after working out how to get up there i made it there for the Sunday.

And then the Vulcan display, just incredible as she flew right over our heads. This was the view from the Hill over looking the airport.

The OFMC duo at Rougham was the top moment for me of last season.
Guess you had to be there to appreciate it but the routine was breath taking. Low (and I mean low!) fast runs combined with tight as you like loops. Alistair Kay really got Ferocious Frankie howling as well
Only the late great Hannah's could have bettered it

A C17 doing a circuit and a King Air display just 'cos the sun came out?

This was my highlight, one of the most wonderful airshow debuts in the last few years IMO....

And this formation, best of the year

Christ, that is one sexy formation.

There's a photo somewhere (not sure if it was here or elsewhere) of Brian Smith in MH434 at Rougham, low and close with the cockpit open, waving. Just magic.

I thought the King Air was great on the sunday, some of my best photos were of it. The angle it came in at to land was ace, not seen anything like it, stopped so soon after touch down also, was great flying.

Hope it's a riat 2010 again.

Thank you.

I never did recover my cap. Better write to OFMC to see if they're using it as a pitot head cover!

The ones on the main page are excellent and had I been at them all I would probably have to agree!

However, I wasn't so here are mine:

1) XH558 take off at RIAT
2) Fly Navy 100 Balbo at RIAT
3) Seeing a Harrier on the circuit again at RIAT
4) F-86A Sabre at Duxford USA Air Day, standing at the end of the runway in a field made for an unbelievably low overhead pass
5) P-51D Fercious Frankie at the above show doing the exact same thing as the Sabre only a LOT lower
6) XH558 appearing over the trees at Silverstone for the Aerobatic Championships, overhead nice and low
7) Belgian F-16 at Duxford Autumn Airshow, the longest and best jet display I have ever seen
8) Watching the Reds from a field at Silverstone during the F1, some lovely overhead passes
9) Turweston Wings n Wheels Day, gorgeous sunshine, some unsual aircraft and XH558 with the sun on her!
10) Spitfire and Mustang at Duxford Autumn Airshow, the sun came out for the first time all day and the display was stunning
