I thought that too. A bit like building workers with hard hats when theres no working overhead going on. Throughly enjoyed the programme though!

I Think that they come under "Mandatory", for that read Health & Safety.

they arent mandatory industry wide, but they may well be in the cardiff BA hangar. I'd be worried though if I was told to wear my safety glasses when watching the thing take off, thats optimism for ya lol
