The Photoshop 'What If' Thread...
The Photoshop 'What If' Thread...
With Andy's recent efforts going down so well, have any other UKAR Members tried any photoshop 'what if' repaints? Lets see them all posted in this thread.

Re: The Photoshop 'What If' Thread...
Really think The Support Command scheme works well on the Voyager and Atlas.
Don't bother running, you'll only die tired!!
Re: The Photoshop 'What If' Thread...
And one from me I tried this morning...
Re: The Photoshop 'What If' Thread...
That Merlin is superb!
Re: The Photoshop 'What If' Thread...
Agreed, I really like the Merlin and the old school Voyager is smart. Yes I suppose the Mig-29 is slightly tasteless but no-one was hurt.
Re: The Photoshop 'What If' Thread...
I like the typhoon and the DHL A400M. Look forward to seeing loads more!!

I heard that there was an interesting 'de-brief' whilst the pilots were getting out of their parachute harnesses May be an urban myth, of course!

Those of you who produce these masterpieces, I assume that use a tablet and stylus instead of a mouse or maybe you're just incredibly dextrous. Any recommendations.

All you need is graphics software that has layers and masks, that's all I use; no special equipment other than photoshop and a bit of patience when making selections.

I think that should read a lot of patience, very well done anyway

A couple of replies mention the Voyager. Has it been removed or do I need to look again...

Another Typhoon from me, not as good as my previous effort but this time a XI Squadron centenary jet...

Re: The Photoshop 'What If' Thread...
These are really cool , I am liking the BOB Typhoon, if it doesn't take too much time how about a Gripen in Irish Aer corps colours, sigh I can always dream.
Seriously if someone could that would be great.

Re: The Photoshop 'What If' Thread...
Can I join this party
Re: The Photoshop 'What If' Thread...
Ohhhhh I do love a ripple! If that happened 1st class stamps would be worth the cost
Re: The Photoshop 'What If' Thread...
There is a bloody good reason why I shouldn't be allowed near Photoshop. That reason is that I have no imagination, am unable to use Photoshop and generally produce things that look awful!
Oh, that's three reasons. Bugger.
Back in 1986, with the retirement of the English Electric Lightning looming ever closer and the Tornado F.3 programme stalled due to problems with the radar and missile systems, the RAF placed an Urgent Operational Requirement for a small, fast interceptor aircraft - the aircraft chosen was the Lockheed Martin F-16, and with the US Air Force retiring their F-16A fleet - the MoD purchased 25 to be operated by 31 Squadron, replacing their Jaguar GR.1s. 31 years later, the fleet nears retirement...
I'll give up there, I think!

Re: The Photoshop 'What If' Thread...
That's a lot better than my arctic tiger SU-27 which quite frankly looks like it's been done in MS Paint with the "fat brush" I shall not be embarrassing myself by posting that but maybe someone can take my idea and replicate it?!

Still looks better than some of the RAF "special" schemes

Re: The Photoshop 'What If' Thread...
Please please even with "photo shop fat brush" can someone have a go at
This aircraft and
This scheme
So I can imagine my childhood would have been amazing watching these over my house instead of fougas .
But considering even having two would have broke the Irish defence budget for the entire 1970's (no joke )

Can't offer you one dropping bombs, but I did shoot one departing Wittmund on delivery having been retired from the German Air Force...
Following retirement from service with the German Air Force, the Irish Air Corps purchased two F-4 Phantoms to evaluate in the long-range anti-shipping role. Here is the first, 401, departing Wittmund.

Hope that's sort of what you were after!

Re: The Photoshop 'What If' Thread...
Yep that'll do it . Ah if only that had happened , all they would have had to say was "gwan and sign us up for NATO there's not many of us but we love a good old scrap"
Then we could have big smokey phantoms , actually I would have liked the Spey ones too.
Thanks Chris for that .

That vampire pictured was the last Aer Corps aircraft to have an ejection seat until the Pilatus PC-9 arrived in 2004.
