I am having trouble finding images of an A10 display team called the Black Hogs. I believe they were from the Pensylvanian National Guard and were a four ship.
If anyone as any info or photo's then please let me know .
Thanks
Splat

I don't know everything there is to know about our hobby.
Kids, aviation, missus then responsibilities, (in that order)

Re: A10 Blackhogs
I would love to know more about this team? Believe there's a squadron called The Black Hogs, so maybe it was just a Team put together for a one off display?
Don't bother running, you'll only die tired!!

I would say that's most likely.
Just doing some research and looks like the Black Hogs was the nickname of the 103rd Fighter Squadron, 111 FW, ANG which dispanded in March 2011.
I'd think it would be too much of a coincidence that the squadron and the team of the same name were unrelated. Americans like their squadron names to be quite unique dont they?
They may have done a few displays around the US around 2010-11, as part of celebrations of the squadrons lineage ahead of their inactivation? The 103rd was a long standing fighter squadron that was formed back in 1924, and took part in missions throughout WWII, Korea, the entire Cold War era and Gulf War 1, as well as being deployed to support the coalition in Iraq and Afghanistan post 9/11. I would assume they wanted to do a few 'farewell' displays and flypasts before they were absorbed into the 124th Fighter Wing.
It also looks like NAS Willow Grove, where they were based, was also closed in 2011.
A hog display team does sound rather tasty though I must say!
Re: A10 Blackhogs
There is a patch with four black A10 'S on it on a yellow and red background with
"display team" on it.
But I have searhed and searched for photo's with no joy

Such a shame there is hardly anything out there on this team, I've found the patch for you though, still available to buy
