Re: UK Military Training Renewal
2 X T-6's are due to be arriving at RAF Valley in October (If no serious changes in the completion date in re-building of the runway happens) to begin Instructor training and create the syllabus manual. The aircraft will also be dual coded. Unsure if that will be permanent feature or just for the delivery flight to RAF Valley.

I assume that was a question.
Can't remember them off the top of my head, but I'm sure they will be published presently.

Re: UK Military Training Renewal
Should be in high speed silver with trainer yellow bands around the wings and fuselage...
Re: UK Military Training Renewal
Yeah! IIRC there was a Meteor flying in the UK recently with just that scheme.

Small cockpit, brilliant layout for asymmetric work... why didn't they just buy a fleet of DA42s and save millions...

I will be very sad to see the Tucano's go from service. Built up the road from me in Belfast I was fortunate enough to get a tour of the factory when they were being built and even saw the roll out/First flight of a few of them.

The civil ones? Yes, they'll go.
The numbers on the tail which look even worse? They'll be staying I'd imagine!

Well, that's a relief, although I think you're right about the numbers

Puzzled as to why the RAF need two quite similar looking types? Neither look a straight B412 replacement, can either do underslung load training? Will the AAC be receiving AS350 replacements?

Army & Navy crews will all train alongside the RAF at the DHFS (like they do currently) on the H135M Juno HT1 as the sole flying training type for military helicopter crews. The syllabus will cover everything currently taught on the Squirrel for AAC/RN/RAF crews, and then the RAF crews will have a few extras, still on the Juno, on skills previously taught on the Griffin. We are only getting 3x (yes THREE) H145M Jupiter HT1 helicopters which will be solely used to teach search & rescue skills and they will live at RAF Valley, as per the Griffin's do with 202(R) Sqn/SARTU currently.
