The second and third items I make sure are in the bag after the airshow tickets, are sunglasses and headache tablets.

If I have even three hours of squint face, I'm ruined.
I don't know everything there is to know about our hobby.

Kids, aviation, missus then responsibilities, (in that order)

Well the first thing that goes in my backpack is my disapproving expression and a plentiful supply of passive aggressive tuts, eye rolls and head shaking. These usually come in very handy at a show if someone comes and stands in front of me, or if a swarm unruly infants decides to use my patch as a climbing frame.

Remember to ensure all your spare camera batteries are fully charged and/or that you have a sufficient quantity of spare disposable batteries for your scanner , etc.
And very importantly.....remember to then pack the aforementioned batteries in the camera bag you're taking with you !

Oh , and if you've got several cameras , ensure that you pack the correct spare batteries for the camera(s) you're taking with you ! Image

Failure to do either of these will result in this....Image...and you'll feeling like doing this.....Image
