Yep! Weather conditions were suitable for the arrival today, so clearly that opportunity has been taken. Goes to show that online sources should not be taken as gospel...

I know there are many units left to represent, but a Tiger Force scheme or ASR one would be nice...

Re: BBMF Lancaster
They only choose a scheme from an aircraft that had completed more than 100 operational sorties don't they?
Should be one of these if that's still the case... http://www.lancaster-archive.com/lanc_100%20ops.htm
'Johnnie Walker' was my favourite of the schemes I ever saw it wearing.

Re: BBMF Lancaster
Not sure whether that's policy any longer as I don't believe its current scheme represents such an aircraft.
Hopefully, given the new scheme will presumably be worn during the RAF's centenary, it is well considered.

I have seen it somewhere but can't find it. Does anyone know how long the Major is scheduled to take?

But Thumper III was applied for a 617 anniversary, wasn't it? I wouldn't expect them to ditch the centurions just on that basis, unless anyone else knows better?

Re: BBMF Lancaster
The current scheme worn by PA474 "City of Lincoln" (which is how I refer to her no matter what scheme she wears) is based on an actual airframe that did indeed serve with 617 Sqdn and was flown by Bob Knights. http://www.raf.mod.uk/bbmf/theaircraft/lancasterthumpermkiii.cfm

Indeed. It was for the 617 anniversary in 2013 that saw the two Tornados painted up I think.

I believe she will always carry the City of Lincoln name, regardless of the rest of the scheme.

Is it in a hangar not accessible to the public? Is there a technical reason why it is not being serviced at Coningsby rather than financial or manpower-related?

I believe the new hangar has a viewing gallery. The overhaul is always sub-contracted - last time it was done at Coventry IIRC.
