Re: Norwegian Starfighter progress ?
Last I heard they are waiting to schedule their third test flight.
If you're on Facebook then they have a page that they keep up to date.

Re: Norwegian Starfighter progress ?
Update on 18/10 on the Starfighter 637 Twitter page: "Pilot and airplane have now got new permits from the Norwegian CAA. Planning to fly again in November!" A post on their Facebook page touts 17 November as the date.
If I can dust off the shameless promotion klaxon for a minute, I recently had the pleasure of discussing the first test flight of this CF-104D with its pilot, Eskil Amdal, the end result being an in-depth study of the challenges of flying the aircraft after its 13-year restoration. I think this is the most comprehensive report on "637" to date and offers some really interesting insight into the operation and handling of a truly legendary century series fast-jet. The article is linked below for anyone who is interested.

Super article - thanks. Really enjoyed reading that.
Posting comments on an aviation-related chatroom, are ya? Looks like it an' all...
Re: Norwegian Starfighter progress ?
Agreed. Excellent reading. Reading about the difficulties and challenges faced makes it even more incredible that it obtained a permit at all. Kudos to the Norwegians.

What a machine.
A Scandinavian classic-jet airshow would be so epic.
