Past and present Gate Guardians

Past and present Gate Guardians

Living as I do in Stafford I regularly pass by the gate guardian Harrier at the base here.

It got me thinking, is there a maintained list of Aircraft positioned as guardians around the UK? Both on military bases and on private sites?

If not, perhaps here is as good a place as any to start one?

A current copy of Wrecks & Relics would provide a reliable listing; while individual airframes might also be assembled via the listings in the National Aviation Heritage Register (NAHR) that is maintained by BAPC or whatever they are now officially called!

The new edition of Wrecks & Relics is due out in May. A Facebook groups that specialises in UK Wrecks & Relics is also very good with members constantly posting photos of not only wrecks & relics but also gate guards.
