Re: Newark Air Museum News 2018
Positive news emanating slowly out of Cranwell to the effect that Chinook ZA717 is now outside – hopefully clearance will be given soon so that the final arrangements can be put in place for the planned move.
Any contributions towards the four figure move costs would still be greatly appreciated!

Re: Newark Air Museum News 2018
Brilliant news, would there be a reasonable time to be able to look over her in the coming weeks?
I have mentioned the just giving site where I am able, so hopefully it might help.

Re: Newark Air Museum News 2018
Brian - sadly I'm not on site this Saturday, otherwise I'd offer you a pick-up from the railway station; at the moment the Chinook is not brilliant for photos, but at least it's on site following a safe move today!
ExVulcanGC - thank you for continuing to help promote the Just Giving page; if we can tie up a mutually convenient time/date I will happily take you down to have a look over ZA717; so far I have not event been inside the airframe myself! Are weekdays or weekends best for you?

Tuesday to Thursday most weeks, and the odd Sunday, it all depends on when I need to look after the grandchildren, and the wifes excursions, any particular days that are not good for you?

That would be great, the traffic from Lincoln, school and work should have eased to allow me to get there close to 10.00 ish, so barring mishaps will see you then, and thanks it is appreciated.

Copies of our recently published book Station of Nations – The History of RAF Balderton can now be purchased from the Museum Shop.
Why not visit our Indoor Aeroboot/Aerojumble Sale on Saturday & buy a copy of the book as well?
