Nellis 'Flag' Exercises

Post by MiG_Eater »

Not sure which forum was most appropriate to post this but I wondered when dates for the FY2019 exercises at Nellis would be announced?

I had planned to visit the now (by all accounts) cancelled airshow and am hoping there may be something else scheduled during my time out there.

Thanks;

Until this year (FY2018) there were normally 4 Red Flag exercises - usually January, March, July and August. This year they have dropped the last one, so only 3 :sad:

There aren't normally any around November I'm afraid - however, the weapons school normally flies every day, so there should be some movements.

Always worth checking the Nellis site http://www.nellis.af.mil/Home/Flying-Operations/ - there may be a Green Flag exercise going on. FY2019 dates should be announced around August / September I think (but I may be wrong).
