Bruntingthorpe VC10 Engine Run Event - 25th Feb

Post by ZD241_VC10 »

Evening all,

Just to let you all know, tickets are still available for ZD241’s engine run event to commemorate the 50th anniversary of her first flight (as G-ASGM) in Feb 1968 (the 25th is the closest Sunday to the actual date). Entry to the event will get you a brunch bacon roll and refreshments in Bruntingthorpe’s historic WW2 era control tower, accompanying presentation on the VC10’s life and the VC10 Preservation Group. This will be followed by a safety briefing before accessing the jet and being able to view a (static) 4 maintenance engine ground run both onboard and outside the jet and then access to photograph and explore the jet once complete. Places are limited to allow as intimate access as possible. It is hoped (but not gauranteed) that she may be joined on the pan by the normally inaccessible ZA147 too.

Tickets available from www.vc10preservationgroup.org
