I'd love to see the Canberra! I'd give anything to see that up in the air again!

After seeing the 2x Lancs at Eastbourne yesterday, I'm sure it will be the highlight for many people at Prestwick. Also saw the Chinook, excellent display! If only it was going to Prestwick!

Are we likely to see much more being added to both the Static and Flying line ups?

I would have thought there is a gap left by the unfortunate sea fury incident

You'd have thought they'd chuck in a Bulldog or a jetstream seeing as it's the former site of Scottish Aviation ltd.Still a window of opportunity to add to the list!

C17 was offered by USAF but never made it past final HQ approval.
It's nice to see that USAF noticed us, maybe next year.

Is there likely to be a Flypast by the 2 Lancasters and the rest of the BBMF when they leave on Sunday?

Isn't that planned to happen as part of the "10 Merlin fire up" that day anyway? My hope is I get to see BoBMF plus CanLanc in formation (definitely likely) and the Avro trio.....Please!!!

Anyone else get their ticket(s)? My ticket arrived on Friday.

There is a printing error on the gold tickets.
Gold ticket holders can access the static display from 7am on the Sunday as per the website.
Also, gold ticket holders need to take their ticket on the Saturday if they are planning on entering the enclosure area on Low Green.

I had thought there was some information missing on my ticket! However they will be aware of that for next year.I was going to take my car from the place I'm staying at,but think a walk will be far better. Now to do some streetmap viewing and locate chippies and pizza places!! :snack:

Promised myself to be patient as I just don't know what to expect at this show. I'm only going on Sunday unfortunately so will miss the flying but quite looking forward to Prestwick, I know it's never going to be Leuchars but I'll give it a go and see what the Static Day turns out like.

One small question I do have is - I was at the last Prestwick show in 1992 I think it was before that 1987 and 1989(I think) and would like to know wether the static Line Up will be in the same area as it was way back then? Or is it nearer the Terminal.

It is on Apron B.
You will enter it via the terminal (near the arrivals/car hire) & you will exit it via the tunnel to in front of the terminal where food stalls etc. will be. You will be able to exit & re-enter as long as you keep your wristband.

I note that there's a fairly large car park near to where the flying will be held. Will this be open for the airshow or will I have to find an alternative,I was thinking about walking it!
