Another stunning update in the latest blog from the display director. Highlights include :

P-40 from Hangar 11, first visit in new colour scheme
Seafire Mk. XVII
Norwegian Air Force P3C Orion (what a sight that'c going to be in the tight confines of EF)

Well done to the airshow organisers in what's looking the best line-up for a number of years

Holy hell - a flying display from a Norwegian P-3!? They're rarer than hen's teeth - I think I've only ever seen one once, and that was sitting on the ground at Kinloss during a maritime exercise!

Seriously, what fantastic news. Between this and the happy news that Prestwick is getting both Viggen and Draken, it seems that the gap left by Leuchars is being filled remarkably efficiently.

Well done to all concerned.

[Naughty word that would get me banned] me .....

Talk about stepping up their game, what an incredible line up.

Are they going to have to start the flying a bit earlier in order to get that lot in ?

With regard to the Orion P3,will it be plain fuselage or the "Mini Magic Mushroom"? Still a fantastic line up this year! Seriously, what were the chances of that? Vulcan this Saturday (fingers crossed) as the Salute to the V force tour gets under way, should be around the 2pm mark. I'll be somewhere within a vantage point early doors! :yahoo:

I hope to make it , but having to work till 12 with approx 50 mins drive to get to EF without any traffic  so I will wait for the offical timing before I decide if I can make the dash!

Great day, went almost right over me and my mate, took the video and was a happy chappie! Cheeky of EDI ATC to ask for a flypast over the airport (although that would have been fantastic)! Oh well, bring on the airshow on the 25th!

Would have been great to have seen '558 over Edinburgh. Like I said I was in the garden and to have seen the big delta over the house would have been awesome, good try by Edinburgh to ask though.

I think that may be a GMT time or UTC if you prefer, as the Reds own website suggests 13:15 as a display time which would still be in keeping with opening the show based on previous years.

Has anyone seen a list of what will be on the ground (I don't mean the usual funfair nonsense)? Usually there's a mention of F-16s or B-52s etc.

Still undecided if I'll go or not. There seems to be a lack of fast jets, and by that I mean stuff you won't have seen recently. Oh for a MiG-21 or an F-22 Raptor......sigh...

Anyway, bet it rains!

What airshow is that? I think you may be confusing it for RIAT perhaps? East Fortune will have the usual suspects it has under cover all year round, as well as the Vulcan XM597 etc outside.
I'm hoping it doesn't rain!
