Got to agree - was a cracking show, one of the best in recent years. Real shame about the Gnat as had been looking forward to seeing it and also the turn in the weather although it looked like EF avoided the worst of it. There was a massive large black cloud to the rear of the site for a while and I did hear one if the pilots in the display hold asking whether it was likely to move over the site.

Highlights for me were the appearance from the P-3, the Blenheim (even although that was the thirs time I've seen it this year!), return of the P-40 and Swordfish and a nice send off for the Gannet crew. Editing my photo's noticed a Navy theme (Swordfish, SeaKing, Seafire and Black Cats) - would have been good to have them grouped together into a Royal navy section of the flying programme.

Music from the Jordanian Falcons was ridiculously loud and the weather really didn't help their display much.

Parking on arrival didn't seem the best, we used the entrance closest to the museum site (using the wrong lane on the approach road) which seemed much quieter than the other entrance, however when entering the parking area traffic from both entrances were being sent to the same car park, meeting in the middle and having to be sent down in turn - I'm sure there must have been a more efficient way of parking the cars. Exit wasn't too bad as we headed to the car towards the end of the Jordanian Falcons and during the Typhoon as last year it took us ages to get out the site. Worst queues were exiting the A1 to the bypass then that roundabout someone thought would be a good idea to include in the middle of the bypass!

Indeed, I noticed they increased the volume at least once. The feed from the pilots themselves was even louder! I felt bad for the people down the front.

One of my work colleagues turned up to as he was driving along to North Berwick and had seen the aircraft, stopped, and has said to me he's caught the aviation bug! Looks like East Fortune has helped gather more interest in the hobby!
