Is the plan to fly the WW1s on both days? If so, is there a rough timing for Sunday?

Hi
Will double check for you as to timings. We now have the Sopwith Snipe (arrived yesterday) as well as the BE2e, and the Albatros is due in from Old Warden in the next hour or so. All three hopefully will fly next weekend, and the Bristol Scout plans to join us too. Are you thinking of flying in?

Albatros did a 10 minute display, well flying round and round, over Duxford on its way to Stow Maries this afternoon.

Yes, all 3 of the WAHT-operated aircraft are due to fly on both Sat 15th and Sunday 16th between 1400 and 1700, weather and serviceability permitting. Hope to see some of you there. If flying in please PPR Russell 07860 345403. The Albatros arrived safely today, bringing the three TVAL-built and WAHT-operated WW1 type aircraft to be based at Stow Maries. A huge thanks to Jean Michel Munn from The Shuttleworth Collection for flying in the Albatros today, the Snipe yesterday and the BE2e in March!

What's the lie of the land at Stow? Can't find many pics from there online?

How many aircraft are expected for the fly-in?

Wow, if I'd known it would be that substantial I would've gone!

Doubt there will be quite that many this time though, especially with Woburn the same weekend.

the 80 on the Sunday last time was a record, the forecast for Saturday is pretty dire (I'm hoping it will improve for Headcorn) so the higher number of visitors should be on Sunday when forecast is better but not really summerish. With the other events on I doubt it will be anywhere near as popular as the last Sunday (as you said). From previous events between 20 and 35 would be a reasonable number, the WW1 types might push that up a bit though.
