the only camo one on the visitors' list was G-HDAE

As has been said previously, incredibly well thought out day, fantastic formation and a great opportunity to get up-close and personal with the aircraft. Also highly enjoyed chatting to the pilots, certainly the most friendly event I've been to recently!
As a slight a request does anyone have any photos of me in G-BSLM (sadly it's a spamcan PA-28 so not quite as exciting as the Chipmunks).
Well done Steve and the team!!!!
i've got one of G-BLSM with the pilot waving at me!!!!!!!!!!! how much will you offer me NOT to post it?

I'll have a look and check them
Sorry Andy, didn't make myself clear. I should have said 'used to be' the yellow ex Portuguese one. It wasn't there today..

47 Chipmunks on the ground, not inc the cockpit section or Shuttleworth's one in the hangar, probably a max of 46 at one time. 2 from the formation went around and did not land. 25 other types visited. 5 based aircraft flew.

Why would it not be ZU-DXO?
Because ZU-DXO is in South Africa, still in an all over metal scheme, I believe.
Confirmation on this one, and "WB564" appreciated please!

Looking fine, Dan! Now I'm glad I didn't hang around to see you leave if that was the horror that awaited!
I'd also like to say thanks for setting up the public area and letting us all get so close to the aircraft. Sadly I didn't manage to catch any of the crews for a chat (though did have lunch with the crew of KDN!) it was fantastic to get up so close to the machines, especially with the variety on display. That kind of access is pretty rare and it shows a great deal of trust on the part of the organisers and the crews.

I got confirmation from one of the marshallers and he gave me this answer and link;
This Chipmunk has recently been repainted, see link below. G-HDAE is now painted as WP964 as this was the aircraft the pilot trained on.

Thanks Andy, they're great. Will send a copy to Michael too. Much appreciated. Not sure if you're in amongst the crowd on either of these 2. Please excuse the bit of shake...
thanks Keith, I can see myself in the 2nd one , just on the right hand edge of the tower and I think I can do so on the other one but it's a bit more distant.
thanks for those it's nice to see it from the other side of the fence.

I'll double check my log but I made in 48 on the ground. Any I/D for the two that didn't land?
Here's my log with both civvy and military I/Ds where applicable. Hopefully I've written them down correctly. How brilliant that the cloud went away just as the formation came into view! Some really beautiful chippies on display, top marks all round.
Yes indeed a great day. I was fortunate enough to be invited to fly in the back seat of Michael Turners WP800. Once I've sorted through them all, I'll send you one of WP800 if it's half decent.
Edit - So much for that promise. I somehow managed to miss WP800 on the move and only have images of her in the static park. Sorry.
