10th June Evening Flying Event Stow Maries Aerodrome

Post by StowAero »

Join us for our first Evening Vintage Flying Event.

The evening will feature a flying display by the WW1 reproduction aircraft of the WW1 Aviation Heritage Trust, The Tiger Club Turbulent Display Team and other vintage aircraft.

Members of the living history group, The Great War Society, will be giving demonstrations of WW1 RFC flying equipment, capturing the character and humour of the WW1 airmen.

Learn more about early flight training technology as on the evening we will launch a unique WW1 pilot trainer the “Rocking Nacelle”.

Delicious food and refreshments available in our Airmen’s Mess – eat inside or outside whilst watching the display. Why not drive your own vintage vehicle to the aerodrome to be part of the atmosphere?

Visitors by air please PPR as usual to: 07860 345403. The airfield will be closed for our display between 1800 and 1945. You can arrive/depart either side of the display - the airfield will be open as usual throughout the day apart from during the display.

All flying is subject to weather and serviceability.

Keep an eye on the events page of our website website, on Facebook and Twitter @StowAero

Thanks and well done to the Stow Maries team for a nice evening.
