For adults it'll be £5.00, with this covering entry into the event (don't forget that there is also a Wheels element to the weekend also) plus free parking.
£5.00, free parking and daylight... Sanity still exists in our world..! Looking forward to it.

Glad your looking forward to it plenty of Aircrfat still to be added.
with these latest announcements we have revealed i can say we are working very closely with several owner of T6's to have the largest gathering since the early 90's we have 8 listed but we have several more waiting to be announced the possibility of double figures is very high and we will keep them together so you can get the shot of all of them together.
Also just because we like to spoil you a couple of merlin powered beasts will be attending with Miss H...Watch This Space.
How many "Event Organiser"s does one Fly-In need? You do realise that claiming to be the "Event Organiser" brings huge legal obligations and liabilities?

And with HG having a new Airport Manager now, it's all a change from the previous W&W events that me and the Events Team volunteers used to help out with.

Well it helps massively to have more than one person doing it spreading the load out but obviously with your previous experience of fly-in's organisation you can comment.

New management is very much for the W&W's and sometimes change is a good thing new people keeping it fresh for a new generation.

No need to quote me in your reply - Spotty_Jag comment amusing and bizarre.

To be fair the second part of his(or her?) comment is very true. Naming yourself as an EO makes yourself liable.

That is very true looking back at the comment should be one EO for the event which would be me.
Latest Update, many exciting things still to be Added and something that no other show this year will have.
Hello everyone. We hope you are having a nice weekend before the week of work ahead! But enough of that, it's update time! First off, we will be having 2 Boeing Stearman's coming from Priory Farm, near Diss in Norfolk. Both are stunning examples of the type, with these being joined by other, currently unannounced, versions of the type. Secondly, we have one of the nicest Auster AOP.9's in the UK visiting, owned and flown by Peter Gill (The president of the International Auster Club). Thirdly, attending will be the Miles Aircraft Collection/Club. This is just one of several aircraft clubs that have been previously announced. We're looking forward to seeing a good mix of Miles aircraft throughout the weekend. We still have plenty of very interesting aircraft to announce in the next few weeks, that range in speed, power and aesthetics. Some of them may spit fire...some may be so unique you don't know of their existence.....and some just make a noise that makes you smile when they thunder down the runway. Also, as one final treat, we can announce that we have no fewer then 11 Harvards/T6s hoping to join, with examples of the classic trainer attending from all over the UK And Europe. Until next time, have a great week! Kind Regards Andrew.
- Complementing our already impressive number of Yak-52s will be another example of the type. This particular aircraft, Blue 43, served with the paramilitary sport organisation of the Soviet Union, referred to as the DOSAAF. - Not only do we have a large number of Yak-52s attending, but we've got a healthy number of Scottish Aviation Bulldogs! XX626 is our 5th example of the type. - We can confirm that we have yet another example of the popular de Havilland Chipmunk visiting, with this latest example of the type, WK635, wearing Royal Navy markings that are identical to its "sister" aircraft, WK634.
Roughcutter wrote:Appreciate that this event isn't an airshow as such, but is there any likelihood of there being stalls on the site (models, books patches etc..)?
Hi Roughcutter there will be a full ground element including stalls,Classic cars and various other things.
It will be £5 pounds for entry and under 8's go free and parking will be free aswell.
The first aircraft arriving will be Vampire WZ507 arriving on the Friday late afternoon.
there will also be a full ground element as said to Roughcutter Will be a nice relaxed day for the family with possibly the largest gathering of Vintage aircrfat since Great Vintage Fly-in's currently haven't got any modern aircraft booked in all classic...and several surprises including a one of a kind that hasn't been seen in many years.
You know what, this event has all the ingredients for a "season opener", nice venue, loads of classic and vintage aircraft, lots of interesting stalls and an informal friendly atmosphere. For most enthusiasts, Mildenhall Air Fete used to be the season opener - long gone and greatly lamented. Times have changed, we're much older, the demise of Air Fete left a massive hole at this weekend bank holiday time of the year. Perhaps R & T will fill this gap, okay not quite heavy metal, but I'm sure will be made up for with lots of enthusiasm and hopefully plenty of sunshine/blue skies (fingers crossed). And definitely no corporates. I wish you every success, bring it on! MarkL
Completely agree Roughcutter, plus sensible prices & entry, I live 150 miles away, it would still be rude not to go! As already stated, "Bring it on "!
On site parking is usually small. Occasionally I've seen the overflow field beyond the gravel car park opened, any thought of numbers attending by car and where to put the cars if these two are full?
