The first Oxfordshire Aviation Group meeting of 2017 is next Monday(9th Jan) and will feature the first of hopefully several speakers this year
We meet at Marlborough Club,227 Broadway,DIDCOT starting at 1930hrs handing over to the speaker at 2000hrs
Glenn Stanley recently attended the first-ever air show at the Kalma International Airport, in the eastern port city of Wonsan. North Korea. The event, attended by both civilian and military aircraft, gave Glenn and other enthusiasts an unbelievable opportunity to photograph some of the world’s rarest combat planes, including the North Korean Air Force Mig-29 Fulcrum, Su-25 Frogfoot, Mig-21Bis Fishbed, Mi-8T Hip and Y-5s. All these and more will feature in Glenn's presentation,which promises to be one of the most interesting we've had so far
Glenn has asked that a donation be made to the Fly2 Help charity based at Staverton/Gloucester airport,to which a beer-mug will be available on the night for your contributions...you may well have seen their Publicity Stall at last years Abingdon Air & Country Show but just in case more info can be found here http://fly2help.org
Glenn has recently given this presentation to the Cirencester Aviation Group and Fairford Aviation Society,but certain members of each were unable to make their respective meetings and have asked to visit us next Monday,so make sure you get there early.Visitors are welcome to this(and indeed at all meeting) for a visitor donation of £2 per head
