Interesting event, how much are the tickets? Is there any pay on the day option as I won't want to commit until I see the weather forecast? Could the AAC also be persuaded to wheel out as many of their Gazelles as possible for us spotters?

From what I have seen, it is advance ticket only and limited numbers. Apparently tickets are on sale this week so we should find out more then.

It's advance ticket only Rob, but we're working with the museum to ensure tickets are on sale for as long as possible - ideally until the night before!

Numbers aren't overly limited, it's car parking that's the main limiting factor (we will be using the field to the west of the A343, opposite the museum).

In terms of AAC Gazelles, we've asked for as many as we can get. Sadly there isn't many at Middle Wallop any more, so I don't think it'll be a huge number. Some may look different to your usual AAC Gazelles though...

Hope that helps :)

This looks like a decent event, and a good start for Threshold.aero. Not a bad price, either - I can actually accommodate travel costs with that ticket price..

I might have to go for this one.

I was wondering if the AAC are going to support this event? Would be a shame if a couple of Gazelles, and maybe Lynx, B212, and Apache could not be moved across to be adjacent to the display area?

I assume you've asked for the ETPS machine to travel the enormous distance from Boscombe Down to Middle Wallop as well?

Have the French Army also been invited?

32 Squadron, RAF are sending their AgustaWestland AW109. Sadly we are unlikely to get any other RAF assets, though we are trying for a 7 squadron Chinook. Equally we've asked about DHFS assets due to their 2FTS (Gazelles...) lineage.
