Just a little update on this from one of the organizers, explains lack of public information.

Update on what is in the public domain, the show has confirmed very little, AFIK there will be no jets allowed.
updated 28/3
Norwegian Spitfire Foundation P-51 G-SHWN (F)
Catalina-Plane Sailing (F)
OV-10 Bronco-Bronco Demo team (f)
Great War Display Team (F) (presumably from a nearby airfield as IIRC they need grass?)
Army Historic Flight (F/S)
BBMF (Hurricane, Spitfire, and Lancaster if finished by then?) (F)
RAF Falcons parachute team (although not on their website?)
Gliding Heritage Centre 2x vintage gliders (S)
Pleasure flights from Rapide G-AHAG and locals flying schools.
Ground running RR Merlin and Bristol Hercules engines.
It has been painful watching but hopefully, some real progress will be made shortly on the website etc.

Spitfire MK.IX-hangar 11 (F)

A interesting line up, with some things you don't normally see. Plus the highlight will be me doing a book signing of my new Blackbushe book.

Nice varied line-up. Good to here that your book will be ready. I picked up a leaflet for it last year.

SIAI 211

Where's this coming from please?!

farnboroughrob wrote:DH Heron G-AORG

According to G-INFO, the Heron has no permit to fly. Is the event listing an indication that this may change in the coming months?

From what I have heard it is hoped to have it back flying in the next few months, from Coventry, I think?

The BBMF Schedule is just major displays, it does not include the 'Flypasts.'

Sadly the BBMF is just a flypast. To be honest the new rules have played havoc, and we are lucky to have a flying display at all! It would have been a very different flying display pre Shoreham.

Just a small update for anybody who was thinking of coming for the arrivals on the Friday. The car park will be closed to non traders/volunteers etc on the Thursday and Friday before the event. You can view from the common but there is a big lack of parking. This is because much of the exhibition area, and some static aircraft will be in the car park.

Can you tell me which direction the crowd face in relation to the display line please?

Crowdline faces north. From what I understand, no public will be allowed on the north side of the airfield during displays though that is where the car park is located with free shuttle bus to the public viewing area which is near the terminal building.

Hi, yes you will be facing north, or North North west when they come from the left. The car park will be clear of people, and we will have security staff to try and keep the runway 25 approach clear, try being the word. Sadly the content in the air is restricted by CAA rules, or it would have been a very different line up. I think the organizers have made the best job within the rules.

Rob, can you give us an idea of the negative impact of the CAA regulations on the Blackbushe organisers

Hi I do not have the full details so can not comment much. It is really about where the display pilots can and can't fly as stipulated by the CAA. Also what sort of aircraft can fly in the display, i.e we can not have jets. If you are in a semi urban area it is now almost impossible to put on a large display with jets. I am surprised Biggin is still going?

If anybody is local it is the Press Preview Day April 29th 1100 to 1400 . There will be a few show aircraft visiting that day, including the AACHF.

Hi Mark do you mean saturdays press day? If so airport is open as per normal with no restrictions. Info I have so far is AAC Beaver, and maybe Scout, Pitts G-VOOM, Yaks G-YAKI,YAKX and a Cirrus. Arrivals will be between 9:30 and 10:30. The Beaver and Pitts are likely to do some local flying for the press.
Not surprisingly the BA A318 has been removed from the website list. Personally didn't know where they would have room for it.

Rob, knowing Blackbushe and the area very well, I can't understand how a flying display is going to work here. Do you have any diagrams of the display area?
