They've just released the flying list for this show

Saturday 18th - Mig 15, CH47 Chinook, Battle of Britain Lancaster, Spitfire Elizabeth, Devon, C47 Dakota - Dragemoot and C47 Dakota - Woody.
Sunday 19th - Mig 15, Vampire FD42, Battle Of Britain Lancaster, Spitfire - Elizabeth, Devon, C47 Dakota - Dragemoot and Woody, Stampe.

Chinook now not participating in flying display - height restrictions

The CAA event approval includes a minimum height restriction which is not compatible with the RAF Chinook display.

So basically.... anyone going should expect the display aircraft to be dots in the sky at a fairly high altitude.

I feel sorry for the organisers.

I assumed it was the other way around, because of the London traffic that flies overhead.

The Chinook team tweet says display height minimum restriction, not maximum.

I wonder why this show is any different to the Battle of Britain show at the same venue. Seemed to be no problems with restrictions then

The display permissions and areas are probably no different from the BoB Show. Civilian regulated display items have the ability to alter their routines to suit. Military regulated display items have no or little flexibility.

Headcorn is not the first venue to lose the Chinook display this year for similar reasons.
