Sweden
JAS-39 Gripen

Finland
F-18 Hornet

Belgium

Civilian
Air Bandits
DC-3 Dakota

To get everyone crazy during the silly season: any chance they'd run an aircraft they are restoring upthere? :heyhey:

Hehe, the Starfighter will at least be doing a full burner run, and there are whispers going around that they are hoping to have it in the air by June, but I wouldnt hold my breath for that ;)

"Yellow Birds" - a newly formed display team consisting of pilots from the RNoAF Flight Training School at Bardufoss, flying four Saab Safaris, have been added to the list of participants. Not the most interesting aircraft in our arsenal, but should be nice.

I'd love to see them!!! I really wish that your Safaris could make the trek to the UK with as much gusto as their Danish Supporter cousins !!

The Norwegian Starfighter is now listed on the participants too. But whether that's static, taxi-run or an optimistic appearance in the air it doesn't say.

All three I would say, they are hoping to get it into the air, in the Norwegian version of the website there is an interview with the guys restoring it, but if that doesnt happen it will do some taxi runs.

Just noticed that the Patrouille Suisse will be heading north as well :)

If they got it in the air then that'd definitely be worth heading over for. Just a shame there aren't any direct flights from the UK to Bodo!

It's pretty cheap from Gatwick via Oslo on Norwegian!

Alternatively, one could fly to Rygge with Ryanair, then take the train to Gardermoen (Oslo airport) and fly from there to Bodø. You'll get a bit of sightseeing in the south-eastern part of Norway, but it would probably be the cheapest way to get there.

Ok, I think its safe to let this cat out of the bag now; 2012 will see the return of an RNoAF F-16 solo display. Its been ten years since the RNoAF last flew a full display routine in an F-16, and who knows when (or maybe I should say if) we'll be able to see this again. So far they have been confirmed for the Tiger Meet airshow at Ørlandet, the Kjeller Flydag at Kjeller, just outside of Oslo, at the Sola airshow in Stavanger, and of course at the airshow in Bodø.

Good news, but we only need to know once  . Used to be a very good routine and somewhat different to the Dutch and Belgian styles.

People thinking about going to Bodø should book accomodations as soon, Bodø is not a big city and the hotels are starting to fill up.

Is anybody doing both the Sola show and Bodo? Think it might be good to combine both although I haven't really looked in to the logistics of it yet........
