Slovak National Days 9-10th June 2012

Was wondering if anyone had more info about this airshow? Unfortunately, the website is still showing 2010's news and participants!

This is on my 'to do' list with a bit of luck!

The website says the planned date for the event this year is June 9-10th. Last I heard, it is still being developed and hopefully the organisors will go ahead with it, pending approvals and enough sponsorship. If it gets the green light, it is one of the best shows in Europe. Easy to get to, nice scenery and good accomodation just a few miles away. Oh yeah.....MiG-29's too!

As far as I know, Slovak International Air Fest (1. - 2. September, Sliac AFB) has been "confirmed". However, I dont want to write anything for sure, because little or (better said) no info has been published, and there are parliament elections in March, which may change many things.

Sliac is on their website stating 1-2 Sept. What is this 'national days' thing? There is no Slovak public holiday around that time, the closest National Day being 29 August.

I already had holiday booked for one of the other shows at Piestany in prevoious Years where they moved the Dates.

Now these dates were rumoured over various forums i plumped for the Week commencing 4th June this Year off Work.

Turns out 4th and 5th are Holidays here around the Jubilee so no training flying here and it looks like the Weekend in Slovakia wont be happening either...

Try keeping your eye on http://www.aerospaceforum.se/ would likely have the Swedish historic stuff which is great. Fly to Stockholm Skavsta. There is also the museum which is good.

Not a single one. Try to contact organiser, but this year´s MoD "primary" airshow will be SIAF 2012 at Sliac. I doubt that National Days will take place without official support of MoD.
