The Danish show always bags the Estonians- bizarre though that the (S) & (F) are direct opposites to what they're doing at Ostrava... :dizzy:

The Luftwaffe Eurofighter Typhoon has been upgraded to Flying and Static (x2) - from the website:
Despite the latitudes of Denmark makes it unusually to witness this kind of phenomenon, we already know that the skies over Aalborg Air Base will experience a typhoon on 10 June. Although it does not sound pleasant, it can reassured that it is “only” the Eurofighter Typhoon from the German Luftwaffe. There will be 2 aircraft on static display and 1 in flying display. It is expected that Typhoon will take audiences by storm when the aircraft shows its strength in the skies.

And it also states that 100ARW from RAF Mildenhall will come by with a KC-135 to be displayed on static:
Danish Air Show 2012 continues the tradition and has the KC-135 Stratotanker on the program to the delight of many flight enthusiasts who can get close to this “flying gas station”. The KC-135 will this year represent the 100th Air refueling Wing (ARW), which is based at RAF Mildenhall in the UK The 100th ARW is the only permanent U.S. Air refueling unit in Europe and supports NATO countries in their training and missions.

It looks rather good, and I'm looking forward to this show

The 80 miles between Aarhus and Aalborg though...!!

Where is the crowd located at Aalborg? Do you face into sun during the display or is it behind you?

That's why I'm doing the Gatwick option back home  but starting off in Copenhagen for a bit of touristy bits. £40 train from there to Aalborg.
£18.00 train from Aarhus 1.5hr

I believe, judging by google maps, that crowd are on the South Side facing away from sun, but I stand to be corrected.

You will, unfortunately, be on the north side of the airfield, facing the sun all day. The plus is that more or less all display aircrafts will be taxing past right in front of the crowd, but you'll be facing the sun

Shame. Any access to the beach to the south-west?

Don't know if the Beach is accessible, but the parking lot is a possibility where I took some photos 5 years ago!

I'll be at the parking lot, even though it's quite far away from the display line, then I'll rather have less good photos, than a lot of silhouettes. And you might be able to get some nice turns and so on from the parking lot.

Here are some examples from the parking lot:

http://aircraftphotos.blogspot.de/2007/ ... 39pan.html

And the rest of 2007's photos from the grounds of the air show:

http://aircraftphotos.blogspot.de/2007/ ... h-air.html

http://aircraftphotos.blogspot.de/2007/ ... -2000.html

http://aircraftphotos.blogspot.de/2007/ ... b-reg.html

http://aircraftphotos.blogspot.de/2007/ ... rnier.html

As you could see, most of the photos from the grounds are static aircraft!

Unfortunately not. 'Fraid the Danes started putting all their star items on the list later than other shows across Europe so I should be doing Florennes, Russia and Ostrava. Take it you are doing Aalborg?
