Although the Dutch Navy had its P-3s cheaply sold off to Portugal and Germany and at a later stage had its helicopters transfered to the airforce to become part of the Defensie Helikopter Commando, they were told by the commander of DHC to maintain the traditions of the former MLD. As such there will be an airshow at Maritime Air Station De Kooy to celebrate/commemorate the founding of the MLD now 95 years ago. Due to its success 5 (and also 3) years ago, this will be held in cooperation with "neighbours" Den Helder Airport at September 15. (That is the day between the evening and normal day airshows at Sanicole.)

In Holland: yes. Well, when they entered service, that day was scheduled for somewhen in the 1990s, these machines served for about double the time that they were intended for.

Mustang Scat VII confirmed today

Today saw a parajump added from a C-47. The pictures seem to indicate the aircraft would be Drag-em-oot.

Red Star Rebels now also confirmed at the show's website.

On static display: AB 204B that once served the RNLN as 227. It is still under restoration to become airworthy in the future.

The until now missing DHC base will also participate: static added: KLu historical Flight is bringing its Beech 18, 2* Harvard and an Instructor.
The flying will see a fire-fighting demo from a Cougar.

The Belgian Seaking is replaced by a static Alouette III.

Also the Mustang is changed, Scat VII is replaced by Damn Yankee.

It seems Red Stars Rebels will not be flying this year, due to problems with the Delfins, so they will also not be able to participate.

Early bird foundation has cancelled and is replaced by Classic Wings, which will bring their An-2 and Chipmunk. Added is a demo by a glider, provided by the local glider club that was kicked out of De Kooy years ago.

This afternoon the Jet Provost Pair gave a spirited rehearsal on a further tame day taking in mind tomorrow will see the show. After their rehearsal they landed but were very low over the public road just north of the field, on which a vehicle that was higher than the height the Jet Provosts were flying at, passed less then a minute before.

In case you missed it elsewhere: after the show two aircraft crashed, two people brought into hospital (one microlight pilot, and one person ejecting from one of the Breitling Jet Team Albatrosses)
