I submitted my form on the 20th February but have not heard anything back. Is the reply instaneous or does it take several days to come through? And what form does the confirmation take? Many thanks for all information.

It takes a few days to come through, myself and two others only received confirmation yesterday while other had already been confirmed late last week. There are a few people over on Scramble who haven't had their confirmations yet either.

I've not even sent my registration in yet... Waiting on a new Passport to appear (They've taken payment, so can't be too long, surely?) before I send it away.
Does anyone know if there is a limit to the registrations they're accepting or if there's a closing date for registrations? :hide:

Many thanks Dean - appreciated. On a slightly separate point do we know what the Spotters' Day will cost? I note that we have to pay the bus driver and I am more than happy to contribute to the Luftwaffe's coffers for putting the day on, I'm just curious as to how much they are asking for.

I too filled in and e-mailed the registration form on the 20th Feb, but have had nothing back at all.
Just wondering if I did everything corectly or not.
Did you guys fill in the ID numbers on the form with passport numbers or something different, or just leave blank?

It's your passport number you need to fill in on the registration form. However they've recieved over 2,200 applications and they're steadily working their way through them.
This was posted on the Facebook page..

Dear spotters
at the time, we were overrun with your registration-requests.
Please be patient and give us a little time to send the answer.
The confirmation will come!!!
Thank you !!!

So, can we consider confirmed the information that there will be no flying on spotter day ?
How about the next day - open day ? I've heard that there is some "mini-airshow" planned ?
Any other information?

Thanks very much for that Dean, yes I'd put passport numbers on.
Maybe I'll have to start doing the facebook thing now, to keep up with things.

Wunderbar. It'll be great to see Greek, Turkish and German Phantoms together!

Yep, this'll be good (just hoping the Greek does indeed confirm on the list).

Does anyone know how many people attended the last Spotters Day in 2011? 2,200 sounds like it'll be pretty busy!

Hmm. I opted to complete the form using my driving licence (rather than my passport) which I have used at other open days. On the basis that it's a legal Europe wide document then I would like to think that it is fine.

Still haven't heard anything from my application on the 20th but if they've 2,200 plus forms then no real surprise at the delay. Will continue to keep my fingers crossed.

The Hellenic Air Force have said themselves they'll be sending a Phantom for static display. Although this hasn't been confirmed by Wittmund yet.

Just seen the poster for the Pharewell, shows a rather nice yellow and gold scheme, wonder if this is a hint at the 'special'?
