Le Bourget 2015

Post by monographix »

Hello

Is it worth trying to organize a visit , or price / show-value ratio = better save the money for some other show ?

There have been some (non) participant information released today.

The F-35 will not be attending and there will not be any US military aircraft in the flying display (I assume this also means manufacturer demo's).

Hearing rumours that Pakistan will be sending JF-17s, possibly one in the flying.

According to the US EUCOM facebook page:

Do you know any ‪#‎avgeeks‬ in Europe? Let them know that ‪#‎EUCOM‬ aircraft and personnel will represent the United States at this year's Paris Air Show June 15-21. Various models include the CH-47F ‪#‎Chinook‬, RQ-7 ‪#‎Shadow‬ UAV, UH-72 ‪#‎Lakota‬, F-15E ‪#‎StrikeEagle‬, A-10 ‪#‎Warthog‬, WC-130J ‪#‎Hercules‬, and P-8 ‪#‎Poseidon‬.

Don't think I will ever go through the pain of air show days at Le Bourget again. Has anyone ever done arrivals or departures and where have you positioned yourself.

Interesting and very telling in some kind of way, not a single UK entry in that list. :handbag:

I would have expected Neuron to make its debut at the show.

Well there's only the Hawk left and that's been marketed to death. Everything else we do is multi-national...

There's only the Thunder in that list I'd really be interested in seeing..

If the article on the below link is to be believed, looks like there will be a nice contingent of Russian hardware on display:

Strange. [major hypocrite]Though to be honest I'd rather they weren't, what with everything going on in the world. Rather the west snub them than act like everything's ok.[/major hypocrite]

Unless we're all missing something, I think it will be the 3/4 Scale replica, F-WMOZ rings a bell.
