Hawks are there anyway for a joint training exercise. Otherwise I doubt any British aircraft would be there. Static only.

RAF role demo is scheduled for Dunsfold and Rhyl (both 29 and 30 August). Anyone knows something more? Maybe it's BAE demo?

Demo pilots told us that they're UK only this year.

Looks for BAE demo or a mistake (or some kind of surprise :-) ).

These are static Hawks that will be there only because of a joint exercise.

Does any one know any good spots for arrivals? It looks as though there is a no photography sign on the fence at the Southern end!

Every year the fields south of the threshold are full of people. Cars parked anywhere and then they walk into the fields as far as they can be bothered. Kaskadi hotel (it'll be full now) a great place to be on Friday for the practices whilst sitting by the pool.

I now believe the Hawks will fly past at the start and land. So no display, and I cannot see how they can then be on static display if they return to the flightline, the static park already being completed and everyone wandering around it.

Would have been 4 Hawks on exercise, now just 2. They will fly past at the beginning with the Smik liveried L39.

I think there is a part of the static area (here: https://goo.gl/maps/hozTF) which is linked to the zone where the dynamic display aircraft are parked, and the taxiway is fenced off from the visitors, so the Hawks can be towed here.

F15s and B52 from US. Uk is 2 Hawks which will fly by at start, then later in the day. Obviously just a circuit or 2 as they are not display pilots. Will look rather plain if they do that right after a display team.
