As long as you're happy to arrive at Stavanger at 2345 on the Friday night!

My Flickr album from 2012 might give you a rough idea of what it could be like:

There is also the possibility of chosing a flight to Oslo(Gardermoen) and fly to Sola(Stavanger)from there.
I am sure it will be worth it George

For those of us from the frozen wastelands of the north, flights to Stavanger are also plentiful from both Aberdeen and Newcastle. Unsurprisingly they're essentially oil industry shuttles, so tend to be slightly more expensive than yer standard flights.
Posting comments on an aviation-related chatroom, are ya? Looks like it an' all...
Re: Sola Airshow 2017 (Norway)
I seem to recall that there was a pretty steep entrance fee that put me off but I may be mistaken...

Usually it is not that bad, and a small amount compared to the flight etc..

Ha well I was driving but anything that is not bad in Norway is totally very expensive anywhere else!!
Re: Sola Airshow 2017 (Norway)
I'm thinking that we can all be complacent at times, but for seasoned enthusiasts, it's going to take something very special to justify the logistics & expense of a trip to Sola Air-show. Wait-up!!... A Starfighter displaying outside of the USA, a thick portion of Scandinavian Hunter & a couple of supporting specials & we have a tempting proposition? You're too long dead to be missing that.

You have some good points there
The Storch that was based at Old Warden is now based at Sola, so there you have an other reason to come
I guess you can also expect some or most of the participants from this years Sola Airday:

Swedish JAS-39C added as well, presumably for the flying display.
Anyone else planning on going to this?
