Strange isn't it? and completely at odds with the way allocation of RAF assets is done. Unless there is some sort of embargoed early announcement made to organisers.?

To be fair to folks Geoff, shows can only announce what they can confirm depending on what their particular confirmation policy is. We have a policy and we stick to it as we've been bitten in the past.

Hats off to our chums at Sanicole, they're doing a great job with a well established brand.

Fully get that Tom and appreciate your input as always. It's just that RIAT is a dead cert- FRIAT sold out this year in record time on the strength of the Thunderbirds (unlikely?) or shear reputation and lack of other events so your policy is sound. Scampton on the other hand is a brand new event charging top end prices yet, almost daily, their only rival not only appears to be vacuuming up all the European FJ acts but blatantly (quite rightly) plasters each announcement over all outlets of social media. Scampton haven't mentioned anything - not even RAF assets as far as I'm aware- even more galling when Sanicole have confirmed 3 acts including Scampies finest!

I hear you Geoff and all valid. However as I write there is still no formal notification of any RAF or other assets for Scampton. It seems that Sanicole as a very well established event (lets not lose sight of they've had 40 years to get to where they are) is getting pretty rapid confirmations from a lot of air arms and as you say, is rightly whacking the PR out there. Not much more to say on the topic really, if we don't know, we don't know.

Thanks for the support

Old friends of Sanicole, so how could we have our 40th anniversary without them? Welcome back, Royal Jordanian Falcons!

An anniversary show "celebrating the past" would not be complete without the most famous transport aircraft in history: the DC-3 / C-47 from the RAF Battle of Britain Memorial Flight.

Maybe this will someday become a thing, but we're not quite there yet with "mock-up Saturday" :) Actually, this isn't a mock-up but a real, albeit no-longer-airworthy F-16. Always nice for anyone looking to have their picture taken in a real aircraft :)

Former Warsaw Pact hardware making a welcome return to the show this year for our 40th anniversary: the Czech air force Mi-24 solo display. It also bolsters the tiger connection at our show :)

Question about the Spottersday.be website and more specifically tickets...

Notice that on the Ticketing page, the website states that "prices shown exclude transaction fee". Ok, but how much is the transaction fee? It's not listed anywhere obvious on the website, surely it should be made clear from the outset, and not as I assume somewhere near the end of the payment process?

Secondly, there is a conflicting statement above that on the same page that declares "To purchase your ticket online (without extra costs)"

So which is it: are there transaction fees to be paid (and if so how much)? Or are there no additional costs?
