Radom Air Show 2018 (100th Anniversary of Polish Air Force)
Re: Radom Air Show 2018 (100th Anniversary of Polish Air For
Also considering attending this show and would be travelling on my own - so if anyone else is considering attending and wants to meet up, we could look at arranging it!
Cheers,

Any news yet regarding the arrangements for this years show. For example it was rumoured that Radom would only have a flying display and most static aircraft would be located at Deblin. Any official information available ?

No official information yet. However, they did recently update their logo and website for 2018 and said more information about tickets will come soon. So I can imagine more info about the static etc will also come soon.

Yes, there may be a "piknik" (I don´t how to translate it, mini airshow? Or just air picnic? ) in Deblin on Thursday and Friday. It would be an event for Polish Aero Club and probably Polish Air Force. On Monday - official cebrations in Warsaw with White-and-Red Sparks Team's flypast. That´s all we know.

No rumors about flying participants? I heard something about F-35, but...

August 23-24 - Dęblin
August 25-26 - Radom
August 27th - Warsaw
No rumors about USAF participants. Some people say about F-35, but I don´t think it´s trustworthy.

Thanks!
No Patrouille de France for Radom this year according to official calendar (thank God!), so that leaves space for Couteau Delta or two Rafale M tactical demo - confirmed for RIAT.

Ladies and gentlemen...
+ Ukrainian Air Force Su-27 (D)
+ Ukrainian Air Force Su-25 (D? S?)
It's not official yet.
edit: Royal Canadian Air Force confirmed their participation. They will probably send CF-18 Demo Team (it's still just a rumour).
United States Air Force will probably operate from Ramstein Air Base.

Su-25 probably S, but let's pray to God it will be D.

Ukraine will send two aircraft. One of them is Su-27, the machine that we have already seen in Radom, the second is something new - Su-25, which has never performed [a flying display] in Poland.

So maybe D...?

The article does strongly hint the Su-25 will be in the flying display

"Dwa samoloty przyślą Ukraińcy. Będzie to Su-27, maszyna, którą można było oglądać już w Radomiu, ale też nowość - nigdy nie latający jeszcze podczas Air Show w Polsce dwusilnikowy, silnie opancerzony samolot szturmowy Su-25."
If you put this in google translate, it's says:" Two planes will send Ukrainians. It will be the Su-27, a machine that could be seen already in Radom, but also a new one - the two-engine, heavily armored Su-25 assault aircraft has never been seen before during the Air Show in Poland."
Is this correct translate or not?
There is big difference between "which has never performed [a flying display] in Poland" and "has never been seen before during the Air Show in Poland". "Seen"... It can be "seen" on static, not necessary flying display.

A Ukrainian Su.25UB (62 blue) was on the static at Radom 2011.
So a Frogfoot has been at Radom but not in the aerial display.

No, it's not. 100% correct would be: It will be the Su-27, a machine that could be seen already in Radom, but also a new one - the two-engine, heavily armored Su-25 assault aircraft has never flown during the Air Show in Poland.

Take a look. Can we expect something to fly from Israelis? Ra'am would be...
Also, Israel withdrew F-15s from Red Flag this year, due to rising tensions in Syria.

At the moment it's probably impossible to get something from Israel because of tension over Poland's "Holocaust law".

Wow, it looks like an amazing lineup. I'll be coming for my first time this year, how much do tickets usually cost?

No, some people in Poland believe that USAF F-22 Raptor Demo Team will make debut in Radom but it's just hope.

Re: Radom Air Show 2018 (100th Anniversary of Polish Air For
There are four locations for spotters in Radom.
These two (Ogrodnicza Street and Lubelska Street) are the best for arrivals (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday) and departures (Monday).
http://www.google.pl/maps/@51.3844745,2 ... authuser=0
http://www.google.pl/maps/@51.3933819,2 ... authuser=0
Third is Skaryszewska Street. It's called "spotters' Mecca" in Poland Best place for trainings on Thursday and Friday. It's impossible to see full displays because of trees around.
https://www.google.pl/maps/@51.3837606, ... authuser=0
On Saturday and on Sunday Skaryszewska St is closed. It's possible to get there by bus and on foot. If you use car you must choose this route:
http://www.google.pl/maps/dir/51.382260 ... authuser=0
Last location is inside the base. You have to face the sun, but it's worth to spend at least one day there.
Here you will find everything about spotting in Radom: http://www.hesja.pl/teksciwo,346,air-show-radom.html
Queues are generally short because security check is really fast. In the past it wasn't allowed to have your own food and water, but it changed last year, it shouldn't be a problem now. There are always so many people inside the base (about 100.000 each day) so you must be early if you want to have good position.
I hope that links work correct
