Thought it was strange they added an item to their display list one day, then have it noted as cancelled a day later, that's all.

This is the first year for three years that I haven't made the trip down. Money has restricted my trips this year but I probably wouldn't have made the trip anyway I'm sad to say

This is my local Airshow, and I must admit that I was disappointed when I saw the line-up.

I just thought because of the involvement Easy-Jet are having (or are they?) there would be a slight boost to the funds to fill the gaps of the Red Arrows, because they have always been the public's favourite at the free airshows.

Last year they plugged the gap of the Red Arrows (on the Saturday) with the Vulcan, but this year some would say the Typhoon.

But to me it does not come to some great surprise that our front line fighter is at Southend, because it generally is every year as was the Tornado in the 90s.

For purely a Southend Council effort, its alright. But with Easyjet involved, perhaps my expectations were too high.

But i guess, one must not forget it is free after all.

Moaning aside, i'll still be there tomorrow. :cool:

why would the spitfire be displaying at 1400 when the flying is between 1300 - 1800?
does anyone know the actual flying times?

Im just happy that its gonna be sunny!!! (for a change)

Tutor just preformed a very polished display, shooting conditions (with my camer) were tough small white aircraft bright blue sky. Nice cooling breez very slight haze but still 10km vis, waiting around for anything else.

Too quick to spot against the bright sky, tucano just made single pass high up hopefully she will return.
