Oh yes there was! All along the front at beach level, apart from directly in front of the fairground...

Andy, having walked along much of the beach footpath trying decide whereabouts was display centre (this being my first visit to Folkestone) I'm afraid I can confirm that there was little tannoy coverage. I eventually watched from near that concrete wall feature (which seemed roughly central) just to the west of your commentary box and could hear nothing. Sorry.

All I can say is that coverage was provided, as briefed, either side of the display datum so I cannot understand that you couldn’t hear anything. Thousands of spectators around me certainly could!

I found the east end of the display line on the beach, was not packed with people, nice spot for photos. I think the Reds had a coms failure which effected their
display, and the Wingwalkers was a no show, maybe it was the strong wind ? I really enjoyed many of the displays, just shows how having a nice close display line
can improve an airshow, all too often beach airshows are so far away.

Having not been there it still appears that the display line was way out at sea, certainly not as close as previous shows in the 90's.
