Blackpool Airshow 2012

Post by eddywinch82 »

This years date for the show is Sunday 12th August I believe.
Sadly the show clashes with Eastbourne Airshow, so the BBMF are sending the Dakota and a Spitfire
no Lancaster this time unfortunately. Does anyone know of any other particpants for the event ? Any info would be appreciated

Regards

VisitBlackpool website now showing the following line-up:

Display aircraft to include:

RV8tors
RAF Falcons Parachute Display Team
Battle of Britain Memorial Flight Spitfire & Dakota
Extra EA300
Gyrocopter
RAF Chinook Helicopter
Grob Tutor T1
RAF Tucano
SWIP Team
Brietling Airwalkers
RAF Typhoon
Aerostars Display Team

Which if confirmed, without The Reds and The Hawk means just about every other RAF display team is there this year.

Not too bad, the RV8tors were my stars of last years show.

Wildcat Aerobatic Team added to the display, think the Chinook might have been dropped, not on the list anymore on Blackpools website.

The website shows it as between north and central piers this year, less of a walk from and to the bus for me now they have finished all the building works
