How is the weather there today, BBC Essex don't seem to have fixed the webcast yet
Re: Clacton Airshow 2016
It's better than yesterday Nick, still quite hazy sun but none of the low cloud from yesterday. But breezy at the end of the pier though.
Reds did a mixture between their flat/rolling/full show with a pause midway through due to an intruder in the airspace.

Need sidewinders fitting to deal with pesky pilots like that, some guy in a Gazelle went to court for flying through the display zone.
Re: Clacton Airshow 2016
Yes some idiot in a speedboat decided to whizz along the flightline while the Reds were up yesterday, soon got the message from one of the Jetski stewards!
I did not go today but hope the weather was better, crystal clear here in Colchester.

Today at Clacton was an absolutely brilliant airshow.
MiG-15, Vampires, Typhoon, Red Arrows and the OV-10 were just great.
A huge well done to the organisers.

Great display from everyone yesterday, particularly liked the vampire pair and OV10. Display seemed even further out than last year, even from end of pier. Seem to recall them actually flying over the pier in years gone by.

Re: Clacton Airshow 2016
The display line was very distant this year, I reckon it must have been over 500 metres from the beach (on Thursday). The display datum markers appeared to be on the horizon when viewed from the beach, and even from the end of the pier the planes were still a long way out.
