Nice bit of advertising at Liverpool Street station with the Guinot girls taking up most of the poster surrounded by the Red Arrows, Harrier, Spitfire etc. Combining an eye-catching trio of lovely ladies in lycra with some of the most well known, popular acts on the airshow scene. Some blokes were even taking photos of the posted with their mobile phones. Genius!

Well if this airshow doesn't have the Jaguar's that are shown on their advertising posters, then I'm going to demand my money back!

Unfortunately not, Typhoon cancelled when it was announced that it wasn't performing any mid-week displays. Although it has since displayed a few places on Fridays. Shame they couldn't let Clacton get away with having a display on Friday only,

Still going but that would have been rather special standing on the end of the pier for that.

Unless any work comes in, I shall be there on the Friday, still not sure where to watch, I shall probably stroll down to Jaywick end, I was thinking stand at the town end of Marine Parade, and get the height, but by doing that I shall be further back.

Decisions decisions.

What's the Jaywick end like for photography? I was at the end of the pier for the first time last year and you got quite close to the action but also missed out on some of the smaller display acts. Don't want to gamble and miss out!

yes there is. If you walk from the RNLI station past the martello tower and walk down to the golf course jaywick end. you will then see another martello tower again. now walk over to the sea defence rock area and stand on them looking towards the peir !. this is some 150/200 ft from the centre datum display point but they come real close here at times with banking shots and passing shots along with over runs.

this area puts you also directly in line with the red arrows ramping up for the solo stuff and gypo pass etc  . the reds use the martello tower as refrence point in the second part of the display they do.

hope this helps

Did they Sea King not display as it was on callout? I couldn't hear any commentary from where I was so didn't know what'd happened to it.

They did not say on Radio Airshow (730mw) North Essex only but I'm picking it up in Southend fine just a little hiss in the back ground

Todays news is

Heavy winds are causing problems with the schedule, the Reds and Tutor have displayed they are re-jigging other acts

The BBMF have canceled due to out of limit cross winds at Coningsby so they remain on the ground at Southend as far as I know.

Shame the Sea King didn't display again today. I was really looking forward to seeing its demo yesterday.
Thought the Hunter display was absolutely stunning yesterday, nice and close with some a few nice topside passes and that last pass and climb into the blue sky was absolutely phenomenal
