Jersey 2018
Flights booked, £60 on Easyjet, cheaper than going to Cosford! Apart from the reds and BBMF anybody heard of any other participation? Would like to see the return of the Alize, Paris and Zephyr as I missed last year.
Re: Jersey 2018
Swedish Historic Flight have Jersey on their schedule again.
Re: Jersey 2018
Is there’s time to get an early flight out to jersey, see the static, get to a vantage point to se the flying, back to the airport and fly out - all in a day.?

If you are coming from Gatwick, yes.
A quick scan of the EasyJet website shows a day return for £70 on 13th....early start though!

It is doable, having done it in 2014, but due to the road closures enforced for the display, the traffic heading north from St Helier immediately after the show is really heavy, and if you're relying on the buses you could get stuck coming back up to the airport.

Re: Jersey 2018
You should have enough time. Personally I stay at the airport and photograph from the flying club on the end of the runway. Plus I get to spend some time with friends and have a few beers.

Yeah I'd say its doable, last year I arrived and headed straight into St Helier to get some breakfast and have a mooch around. If anything I had too much time to kill before the show started. At the end of the day I had enough time to go for a sit down meal and a couple of cocktails before heading back to the airport to prop up the bar and review my pitiful photos before my flight home.
I wont be returning this year as 1; the sun is in your face all day, 2; the aircraft may as well be flying over Guernsey, 3; spent most of the day cleaning salt off my lens.

Participant list seems a bit slow in coming this year

No different to normal. The preliminary list doesn't normally appear until roughly two months before the show.

Re: Jersey 2018
The Jersey Air Display website has been revamped - http://www.jerseyairdisplay.org.uk/
Their aircraft list includes a few that I haven't seen announced yet - a pair of Dassault Flamants, Team Reva and the Swedish Historic Flight's SK60. The Noratlas and Beech 19 are both missing - but are not listed in cancellations either, so I'm a little sceptical about its accuracy. Either way, it's looking like a great lineup.
The Norwegian Spitfire Foundation have, as indicated above, confirmed that their Mustang, "The Shark" is attending, but it doesn't seem to have been announced officially by the organisers yet.
Blue: Listed on JAD website but not announced elsewhere

Re: Jersey 2018
Looking good, never seen a Norseman or Boomerang before and not seen a Norrie fly since the 80's. Not that I will be going to the display, much prefer staying at the aeroclub as have some friends there and its a good photo location.
