I wouldn't call Crofty good, personally - comes across as a bit of a creep on the radio, who stutters a lot and doesn't really know what he's talking about.

Also really grates with me when he mocks F1 fans as "anoraks" etc for knowing stuff that he should know himself, like being able to identify the drivers' helmet designs. That's basic. Would a MOTD commentator mock a football fan for knowing squad numbers?

I do agree with you LN Strike Eagle, Crofty isn't the most clued up person to do F1 commentary but unless DC made the move over i could settle for Croft being co-commentator as long as Brundle was lead commentator and Croft didn't go off waffling all through the race... like Legard did.

It would be faaaantastic if Murray was to make a come back to F1 commentary along side Brundle (but don't see that happening unfortunately)

What is the deal regarding the coverage of races for next season? Which races are being covered in full by the BBC and which are Sky in full control of? I don't have Sky so the BBC is my only hope for races............

10 Races will be covered by the BBC, of which suprisingly Australia isnt one of them. All the early races will be shown (highlights) in a 2 hour program at 1400, whereas the EU timed races will be shown in a 90 minute program at 1730.

BBC races will be:
China, Spain, Monaco, Europe(think its Valencia again next year), GB, Belgium, Singapore, Korea, Abu Dhabi and Brazil.

Cant help but feel seriously let down by the BBC here, im in the same position as you. Unless i can find a reliable source of steaming on the web next year i wont be following F1 the way i have been before, may even give it up altogether!

More details here: http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/formula ... 893254.stm

Watching the BBC highlights program now, although its put together well it just isnt the same as watching the full race live. Having watched the race earlier its pointless IMO.

Race wise, wasnt the greatest of races this year, shame the predicited rain never turned up. Well done to Webber for finally winning for Red Bull, however i suspect there was more to the 'gearbox proplem' that was mentioned.
