. For once why can't you negative people be proud of your country and it's efforts instead of crappy cheap comments. You make me sick. All you do is sit on your fat backsides and criticize.

I guess I'm banned now but it was worth it.

At first, I was confused and underwhelmed. But when the point of it surfaced and the progression to the industrial stage was magnificent. The idea of the Olympics rings was superb and an amazing image!

Also, great humour with James Bond/The Queen. "Hello Mr. Bond."

So yeah, I think it's been pretty good so far!

What? They play OMD and no Depeche Mode? There is no bigger "electronic" band bigger then DM from the UK. New Order a close second. Just my opinion.

It is certainly having quite a few memorable moments so far..... Bond / Mike Oldfield / Me Bean..... and yes the Industrial Revolution piece was spectacular

Can't say I'm a particular fan of the games themselves, but as a spectacular showing what we as a nation are all about - this is certainly something else

I was expecting it to be terrible to be honest but what a show. The industrial bit, my jaw was on the floor flipping fantastic.

I personally think the ceremony has been brilliant so far, the industrial revolution act was immense and the forging of the rings was fantastic

It was good enough, Lost its way in Patches. I wonder how many people in China watching went "Oh look It's Brunel". Very British though, well done. The rings at the end cemented it well.

I think Danny Boyle blew his £27m budget on some fairly strong psychoactives. The theme from The Exorcist and the Queen jumping out of a helicopter.

I also loved how the theme from The Exorcist kicked in again over some footage of a child going to sleep! Brilliant. All the best Olympic opening ceremonies incorporate references to demonic possession.

The whole thing has been utterly, staggeringly surreal.

Quite enjoyable so far. Rowan Atkinson playing chariots of fire was inspired as was the Queen parachuting into the stadium with James Bond.
